The governing body of Bryn Coch School has achieved the Governors Wales Bronze Award Quality Mark. It is professional in its duties, fulfilling all of its statutory requirements. Many governors have been associated with the school for over 20 years and are always volunteering their services for the good of the pupils, parents and staff. Governors Wales Development Officer, Ray Wells, said, “The Welsh Government has put great emphasis on effective school governance and is determined to identify and encourage the spread of good practice. The Governing Body Quality Mark is one way for a governing body to show that it’s not only doing the right things, it’s doing the right things well. The governors of Ysgol Bryn Coch can be very proud that they are among the first in Wales to be recognised by the Education Minister for their commitment to raising standards.”
